OBJECTIVE
I am currently in the process of a career change. Corporate positions are no longer fulfilling to me and I find myself looking for a meaningful and lasting career where I can utilize my people skills, love of children and community involvement and really make a difference to young minds.  In past professional roles, including that of College level Professor, I have exemplified the pertinent qualities that a teacher of young people must have. Namely: commitment, perseverance, responsibility and creativity. I respond well to the company of children, especially those with challenging personalities. In the past I have taught at the College level, but since becoming an Aunt to my two nieces and two nephews (ages 14 months thru 9 years), I find being around children to be rewarding, fun, and a wonderful experience. Through substitute teaching at the Temple Beth Sholom Schools; Goldie Feldman Academy (GFA) and Justin Lee Wiesner Early Childhood Learning Center (JLWECLC) and tutoring through ClubZ! In-Home Tutoring Services (3rd grade and 5th grade math and language arts for the FCATs), I have discovered that children relate to my outgoing, warm, happy, optimistic outlook on life. I have received positive feedback from the teachers as well as from the assistant directors and they have encouraged me to pursue a teaching career. I am looking forward to a future in teaching.

I am currently enrolled in the Accelerated Teaching Program at Manatee Community College. I have passed three exams and am signed up to take the remaining exams this summer. I have completed two courses; Classroom Management and Instructional Strategies. I have also taken the required 45 hours for my CDA certificate to continue substituting at the Justin Lee Wiesner Early Childhood Learning Center.
